Hinton was established in 1958, and has a population reaching almost 10,000. Located just 270-km. west of Edmonton and 80 km. east of the Jasper townsite, Hinton has something to offer everyone! Hinton is located in the heart of a paradise for recreation. There recreation complex which is centrally located, has two arenas, indoor swimming pool complete with sauna and spa, racquetball and squash courts, and a fitness room.
